As I told you, I have decided to partner with Croptopia Getaways to offer a wonderful weekend of education. Here is what you can expect... Arriving on Saturday morning, you will attend classes all day with a break for a fabulous lunch that Croptopia will have arranged for students and this is not your school cafeteria! There will be no Sloppy Joes, fish sticks or goulash! You will use your school store credit to go “shopping” for all your necessary supplies including a custom album from Scrap It Simple. You will leave this event with a completed 12x12 album! We will tackle topics such as choosing matching papers and embellishments, a plan of attack to actually complete your album, not just gather random supplies. Two highlights include our Tool Stations and Technique Round Robin. In the Tool stations you will have the opportunity to explore 10 tools from a Cropodile to the Cricut. We will be looking for the latest and greatest to have on hand. The technique Round Robin will feature 10 stations each offering a new technique and activity. Students will complete a mini ring album full of the techniques to use as a resource as they rotate through the stations. Back to class until it is time to break for our evening meal. After dinner we will gather in the crop room and this is where Croptopia really shines. You will all receive an end seat! Plenty of elbow room to spread out and complete your homework…oh yes you will have homework, you did not think it would be all chocolate did you?!! And your teacher (ummm... ME!!)
will be wandering around along with my assistants to offer you plenty of assistance and support. Oh, there will be chocolate too! After a comfy sleep in the rooms hand picked for you by Croptopia (well Sue did not make your bed but she does choose the best hotels!) Morning finds you back in class completing your pages and assembling your album. The weekend will conclude with show and tell ! After we gather for a class photo, your albums will be displayed at your crop table and everyone will get a chance to ohh and ahh. Look for the kick off of this event in Fall of 2008! Go Croptopia U!!
