This one is about me ...

I know you all come here to read about Cricuts and classes and I hope my Whispers.  Today I wanted to share a bit of behind the scenes with you too.  You know that I am married to my high school sweetheart and have 5, yes 5!  amazing... now grown children.  If you have a day or two I could tell you all about how amazing they are too!  

But today I am going to talk to you about change. Change is scary but this change is amazing! I am no longer working full tme at my boring day job.  At first blush that may seem like it could be troubling and cause for alarm and I have to say I had a couple days feeling that way too.  But suddenly I realized that this was actually a blessing and I now have the opportunity to do what I have always truly longed to do...work full time for myself teaching.  Teaching is what I love and now I have the time to do just that. I wake up every day excited to go to "work" and can't wait to get these ideas out of my head and into class lessons for you.  I used to think..."if I could put as much time and effort into doing what I love, I could make a good living... doing what I love."  Well, I have been given that opportunity and I am running with it!  Look out 2012...here I come!  Yes, I am truly blessed and "everything happens for a reason".  

My courses at My Creative Classroom are opening for enrollment this week and boy do I have a full schedule!  I am adding to my Classes to Go course list too.  I am able to offer my Whispers  in the printed version and the download too!  So many of you have asked for the printed Whispers but time was so limited before that it was impossible.  Not anymore!  I am so excited to share these with you.  I am also able to offer monthly Cricut Project Downloads ...every month too!!  And there are so many more fantastic plans I am working on too...can't wait to share them with you.  Just BELIEVE!

New Whispers!

Ok...I asked and you answered.  You like the Whispers that you can hold in your hot little hands!  Well oke dokie!  The Whispers are at the printers as I type and the real ol fashioned "on the ring" Whispers that we all know and love ...will be ready for shipping later this week (so I was promised!) As soon as I have them I will let you know.  I will be changing the order form and you will have the option to order Paper, electronic ...or both!  

Whisper for Cricut has all the details you need to help you use your Expression and get the most out of this fun machine.  All the modes and features are included.  Yes, a Whisper is basically the "Spark Notes" for your Cricut.  Remember Spark Notes were those little booklets that you rushed to buy in August ...just before school started when you realized that you had not read one of the summer reading books you were supposed to read over the summer!  These little booklets let you go back to school and survive English class.  Well, the Whisper is going to do even better for your "cricuting" !!

I knew if I asked you ...you would tell me what you like about the Whispers and how to make them work better for you.  I have the best blog readers!  Those of you that commented...I will putting together a project just for you.  Give me a couple of days and I will let you know how you can get your thank you project from me :)

I have some WHISPER questions for you...

but I don't expect you to answer just cuz you love me!  I have a give away too.  I want to know what you think...no not about the new jeans I have or should I let my hair grow or what color should wear on my nails.  No...I have a tougher question that I saved for all of you.  I am working on Whispers ... I am sure you know what those are right?  Whispers are my handy guides for all your different Cricut machines.  So here are my questions:

Would you rather have a Whisper in the paper version or the electronic version or both?  

Currently I offer Whispers for the Expression, Whisper for the Gypsy.  The Whisper for E2 and Whisper for the Imagine are in the works ... are there any other topics you would like to see in a Whisper version?

My word for 2012 is...

the same word I choose for 2011...BELIEVE!  I have thought and thought about which word was best for me as I enter 2012.  New beginnings is my motto...there are many new challenges and adventures facing my family this year and BELIEVE is the only possible choice for us.  Yes, I believe.

Here is to new beginnings!  I am excited to tell you that 2012 brings great changes for me and I hope for my students as well.  Yes, I will be teaching full time as I start the new year.  I am looking forward to spending time creating fun and exciting classes and projects for all of you.  As many of you have seen I have some special treats for those of you that own Whispers...there is still time if you have not ordered yours yet but you need to hurry if you want to receive the free bonuses...all Gyspy Whisper orders received by midnight will receive the bonus Gypsy projects I talked about earlier this week.  And Cricut Whisper owners receive the first Monthly Project Kit due to be released in January.

 I promised I had news for you too!  Remember way back when...if you are one of the Founding Whisper owners, you are lucky enough to have the paper version on a ring.  It really sounded like a great idea and very do able ...if only 25 of you thought the Whisper was a good idea.  Well...guess what?  Lots (I mean LOTS) of you thought I was on to something and the orders poured in while the Whispers crawled out.  The process of creating the Whispers was ridiculous...someday I will tell you how I was trying to do this.  Long story but bottom line was I burned myself out really fast.  So I switched to the downloadable version that is available now.  I posted info here and emailed everybody (I hope) offering the original paper owners the downloadable Whisper FREE.  If I missed you and you have the paper version, let me know and I will get you the downloadable file sent to you.  The reason you want the downloadable version...it has the promised projects as part of the Whisper.  If you missed the projects that were included in the Whisper purchase, please please send me an email to cara@caramiller.com  and I will get the projects emailed to you asap!  Ok...that is old news... NOW FOR THE NEW NEWS!!!  

 

Coming in 2012... new MONTHLY Cricut projects! Happy day After Christmas Day!

Don't you love this day ?!! It is the most relaxing day for me ever.  No lists...no obligations.  Just happy and content and oh ya... ful!  Lots of good food and family time has left me with a smile!  So while I am resting and looking at my tree I thought it was a good time to start my end of 2011 postings.  First ... there will be a big announcement for Cricut Whisper Owners in the next day or two but today this is for GYPSY WHISPER owners.  If you own a Whisper for Gypsy owners... you need to send me an email to cara@caramiller.com with GYPSY 2011 in the subject line.  I have 10 ....yes count them ... 10 Gypsy Projects for you!  The uploads are almost ready. Remember...there are alot of you!  It may take me a few days to get all of the emails sent!  The links will be sent starting January 1!!  

So Gypsy Whisper owners ... make sure to send me an email and include your name and your email address in the email so I know where to send your Project Links.  And wait til you see what is coming brand new in 2012!

How about a fancy wreath card?

I love the way I can plan my project on my Gypsy ....everything is cut in one load of my mat.  I plan the colors, the sizing and can create a custom unique card.  Now you can too!   What cartridge has this card?

 

I have some brand new mini "classes" that will be offered in 2012.  These mini classes will feature a specific card or project ...just one.  The class will offer a printable project instruction sheet and supply list AND a  GYPSY file!  Yes, the project has been designed for you!  You simply save to your computer and load onto your Gypsy.  As long as you have the cartridge or catridges I used to create the project linked to your Gypsy, you can cut the project with your Cricut!  These mini classes will be priced at 2.50 each and available as Classes to Go...that means you get the project right now!
